Volunteers Volunteers are continuously needed in a variety of areas including: graphic design, set design, painting, literature distribution, development, special events, marketing and more. If you would be willing to donate your time (we're flexible), please give us a call. Board of Directors Join the board - help build a strong future for Chicago's leading music theatre company! Porchlight welcomes new members to the board on an ongoing basis. Members are asked to make an annual donation as well as attend all shows and events. The working board meets monthly to set the vision and long range plans of the company and to oversee the day-to-day operations of the company. Board members serve on the board's committees: Artistic Associates, Benefit, Finance, Marketing and ad hoc committees. The board is governed by elected officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Individual and In-kind Donations As a not-for-profit arts organization, Porchlight depends on donations. Monetary contributions are fully tax deductible and may be sent any time to our office address. Contributors will be listed in programs and other materials. Materials are needed for our productions, including lumber, paint, fabric, costumes, set pieces, food, printing, and graphic design. If you are, or know, a source for securing these types of items as a tax-deductible donation to Porchlight, please let us know! Porchlight Music Theatre Chicago is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit corporation. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Actors Porchlight does not exclusively cast from an ensemble, and holds open auditions prior to each show. Audition notices are placed in PerformInk newspaper and the Hotline. Pictures/resumes are always accepted at our office address or the theatre box office. Porchlight welcomes all actors and does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, religion, sexual orientation/preference or gender.
